
This is also one of our childhood favorites. I think we made this recipe more than any other! It came from the back of Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can't go wrong with this recipe; the cookies always come out good!
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
12-oz. package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt ina small bowl. Set aside. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in morsels & nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. let stand for 2 minutes; remove to cool completely. It makes about 5 dozen cookies.
