Grilled Shrimp or Scallops with Soy Ginger Sauce


Another good marinade or as appetizer on skewers!

2 scallions, thinly sliced
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 lemons, juiced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. ginger, finely minced
2 tbsp. dark brown sugar
2 tbsp. canola oil
2 pounds large shrimp, peeled & deveined OR
sea scallops OR a combination of each
2 scallions, julienned, garnish
1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds, garnish

Combine the sliced scallions, soy, lemon, garlic, ginger, sugar, oil, and seafood in a medium bowl. Toss and marinate for at least 1 hour, up to 2 hours refrigerated.
Heat the grill. Grill seafood 3-4 minutes on each side.
Save the marinade and bring to a boil in a small saucepan and pour over seafood. Garnish with scallions & sesame seeds.
